thebucketI'm new to the prowler scene. However I have had a bullitt mustang and a LT1 camaro in college. I have started thinking about buying a prowler to enjoy on the weekends. Are there any mod's that I need to be scared/aware of when I start shopping? Any Mods that are a plus? Any suggestion would be appreciated....
ed monahanI don't think there are any bad mods unless you don't like the looks of them.
Pricey aftermarket stuff includes trailers, hardtops, weekenders and air patrols. All of that can be sold, if you don't want them, for a tidy sum.
Chrome front ends and after market grills are also somewhat pricey.
Buy what YOU like, not what someone else tells you looks good.
Marty UsherYou can look at mods in photos here:

thebucketThanks for the replies. I understand cosmetics not being a big deal. I was refering more to aftermarket mods, (intake, programmers) etc, that have been known to be crap. For instance when I was deep in camaro's there wer mods that expericnced enthusiast knew to stay away from. However on z28.com there would be a post from a newbie time fom time that came in and said. "I bought a 94z with an auto and 4.56 gears, and a chrome cold air kit" I knew through experience the car was over geared for the few mods and the cold air kit was useless. Just trying to avoid the same pitfall being new to the mopar world..........
MDProwlerProgramming is maxed out by the factory. Kenne Bel tried but was not able to improve enough to be worth the money.

Gears are a good mod.

Westech has many motor performace mods such as cam's headers. They also have stroker motors.

Prowler Pro has gears, headers, high rise intakes and nitros setups.

Koni shocks are the bettr, Dynamic Suspension shocks leak.

The cold air intakes I have seen are not worth the money and won't improve over stock and a K&N filter.

Mud flaps are a must, especially on the front.

Trunk hinge protectors are a must.

Most mods out there are of good quality, just ask for opinions before you buy and you'll get them.

IM IN XTCummm Dude ... When you decide to get a Prowler .... you will realize that beauty isn't meant to go fast .... and that's why they have those other fast cars... picking up what I am putting down... drive it wash it shine it and ... luv the ride
